MIGO GLASS Development Timeline
2008–2010 · Vision & Start-up
MIGO GLASS was founded in 2008, during China's construction boom and the early rise of global solar energy.
The founders position the company as a solar glass and architectural glass trader,
building industry knowledge and long-term relationships with international customers.

2011–2015 · From Trading to Manufacturing
MIGO GLASS invests in a 50-acre factory and builds its first solar glass deep-processing line with a continuous tempering furnace, edging and drilling equipment, supplying solar cover glass to PV module manufacturers.
In 2011, partner Ms. Kathye Tian joined and led the international market team to global exhibitions and customer visits, driving standardized processes, factory audits, and quality system upgrades.
MIGO GLASS is recognized as a reliable solar glass manufacturer by domestic and overseas brands.

2015–2020 · Policy Shock & Technical Breakthrough
After the EU anti-dumping policy on solar glass in 2012, Chinese ultra-clear low-iron solar glass faced severe restrictions.
MIGO GLASS chooses innovation instead of withdrawal and begins R&D on 300–400 PPM middle-iron solar glass, balancing EU compliance and optical performance.
Over more than three years of furnace-level experiments, a stable formula has been achieved.
In 2020, MIGO GLASS invested in a 500-ton ultra-clear patterned solar glass furnace, strengthening control over raw glass supply and enabling large-scale production.

2021-2023 · Dual-Market Strategy & AR Upgrade
The team identifies a high overlap between solar glass and greenhouse glass specifications and successfully enters the greenhouse glass market, sharing capacity between the two industries.
All coating lines are upgraded from single-sided AR to double-sided AR coating, with:
110–120 nm coating thickness
±3 nm thickness control
≥94% transmittance after AR
This creates a strong base for high-performance solar and greenhouse glass mass production.

2023-2024 · Supply Chain Shock & Strategic Rebuild
Global pandemic disruptions make raw glass transportation unstable, affecting deep-processing plants.
In 2023, a major furnace collapse at the original partner plant brought high repair costs and risk.
MIGO GLASS chooses not to rely on an uncertain asset and instead looks for a more reliable furnace resource near its deep-processing base.

2025 · New Strategic Furnace & Automation Upgrade
MIGO GLASS invests USD $7 million to become the second strategic shareholder of a modern furnace built in 2021, securing a stable long-term supply of low-iron patterned solar glass close to its deep-processing base and optimizing the global supply chain.
In 2025, the company completes a 1.7 m fully automated tempering + double-sided AR coating line, tailored for large-format greenhouse glass and solar glass.
At the same time, laminated glass, Low-E IGU, and safety glass product lines are developed, allowing MIGO GLASS to serve as a one-stop glass solution provider for greenhouse builders and B2B solar customers.

Today · What This History Means for Our Customers
From trading to manufacturing, from furnace investment to full supply-chain integration, MIGO GLASS has built a resilient, technically advanced, and globally reliable solar & greenhouse glass ecosystem, so that our customers always have a stable, high-quality, and efficient glass partner behind their projects.
