Manufacturing Process of Solar Glass
Raw Material Selection
Use high-purity, low-iron silica sand combined with additives to ensure high transparency, low green tint, and consistent chemical properties.
Melting
Raw materials are melted at high temperature (around 1600°C) in a furnace to form homogeneous molten glass.
Float Forming
Molten glass is poured onto a molten tin bath (float process) to form smooth, flat sheets with precise thickness.
Annealing
The glass sheets pass through an annealing lehr, cooling gradually to release internal stress and improve mechanical strength.
Surface Treatment
Anti-Reflective (AR) coating or textured surface is applied to increase light transmittance and reduce reflection.
Cutting and Edge Processing
Sheets are cut to customer-specified dimensions. Edges can be polished, ground, or drilled according to module design.
Quality Inspection
Each batch undergoes optical, mechanical, and dimensional testing to ensure uniform thickness, flatness, surface quality, and AR coating performance.
Packaging
Glass is packed in protective interlayers and sturdy wooden crates for safe shipment, minimizing breakage during transportation.
Raw Material Inspection
Quartz sand, low-iron glass raw materials, and related inputs are checked for clarity, purity, and consistency before production.
Glass Cutting and Edge Processing
Glass sheets are cut to size and processed with the required edge treatment to reduce micro-cracks and support downstream tempering or lamination.
Cleaning and Drying
The glass surface is cleaned and dried to remove dust, grinding residue, and contaminants.


Tempering or Surface Processing
Depending on the product, the glass undergoes tempering, AR coating, AG treatment, or patterned surface processing under controlled conditions to meet performance targets.
Optical and Mechanical Testing
Light transmittance, flatness, strength, and surface condition are checked to ensure each batch matches the required specification.
Final Visual and Packaging Inspection
Before shipment, finished glass is inspected for scratches, chips, cracks, contamination, and packaging condition to reduce transport and installation risk.
