This week, Qingdao Migo Glass Co., Ltd (MIGO GLASS) successfully completed the production of 1.6mm screen-printing tempered solar glass samples for a Japanese customer. A total of three samples were produced, with two pieces shipped to the client for testing and evaluation, while one piece is retained by MIGO GLASS as a reference and display sample.

 

The inquiry was received in early January, during which the customer provided detailed specifications including glass type, thickness, processing dimensions, and screen-printing drawings. The glass is designed for use as backsheet glass in dual-glass photovoltaic modules, requiring high strength, excellent flatness, and consistent processing quality.

Compared with standard 3.2mm solar glass, 1.6mm ultra-thin solar glass presents higher technical challenges, especially in the tempering process. Precise temperature control, uniform heating, and optimized cooling systems are essential to ensure product stability.
