Project Background: High Transmittance Requirement from Germany
In January, MIGO GLASS received an inquiry from a German solar module producer seeking solar cover glass with a light transmittance above 94%. After several rounds of technical discussions and specification reviews, both parties confirmed the use of 3.2mm matt-matt solar glass with single-side anti-reflective (AR) coating, ensuring excellent optical performance for photovoltaic applications.
Middle-Iron Solar Glass: A Cost-Effective and Compliant Choice
Considering the anti-dumping policies on low-iron solar glass in Europe, MIGO GLASS recommended our flagship product - middle-iron solar glass - as an optimal alternative.
- Low-iron solar glass typically contains around 120 ppm iron content
- Middle-iron solar glass usually contains over 300 ppm iron content
Despite the difference in iron content, middle-iron solar glass achieves light transmittance very close to low-iron solar glass, fully meeting the customer's performance requirements
