This type of glass is widely used in construction, solar applications, furniture, and home appliances, resulting in stable and high-volume demand. With standardized processing parameters and continuous production, we are able to achieve high efficiency and lower unit costs, making fully tempered glass a more economical choice for many projects.
In contrast, heat-strengthened glass requires different processing conditions, particularly in the cooling stage. To produce it, our engineers must adjust furnace settings and quenching intensity, which interrupts the normal production flow. This not only increases setup time but also reduces overall efficiency. Additionally, heat-strengthened glass is typically produced in smaller quantities for specific applications, making it difficult to benefit from economies of scale.
From our experience at Migo Glass, the price difference is therefore a reflection of production reality rather than product value. While both glass types offer improved strength over annealed glass, fully tempered glass remains more cost-effective due to its scalability and streamlined manufacturing process.
